ABOUT christopher
Founder of Sovran Souls
Christopher guides people to reconnect with their breath, body, and nervous system. His work blends functional breathwork, somatic practices and nervous system science to help clients release tension, increase presence, and navigate stress with fortitude and grace.
Coming of age in the gritty magic of the Lower East Side of NYC, Christopher faced a challenging adolescence in the underground music scene in post-9/11 NYC. His path from a dysfunctional peer group to personal well-being began with martial arts—training in early MMA gyms in New York and later continuing study in Hong Kong and the Philipines —instilling discipline, body awareness, and the value of embodied practice.
In fatherhood, the themes of awareness and embodiment continued to evolve and deepened his commitment to presence. Fatherhood has been an opportunity to build meaningful connection and serve his children as a grounding anchor for healthy co-regulation.
Led by an appetite for experience and information, and a deeply seated wish to share with others, Christopher trained with Wim Hof, Patrick McKeown’s Oxygen Advantage, and Kasper van der Meulen’s Breathwork Masterclass, and Alex Greene of Red Beard Somatics TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises).
In addition to Sovran Souls, he is a founder of CORE, a collaboration with Jeremy Willstein. CORE is a leadership-focused program guiding professionals and teams to cultivate coherence, openness, regulation, and embodiment. Together, they translate somatic intelligence into practical tools for resilient, human-centered leadership.
Whether working with individuals or groups, Christopher’s guidance aims to empower participants to cultivate greater awareness, presence, and emotional regulation in their daily lives.
